47 is a multichannel video installation composed of 47 videos, each with an exact duration of 47 seconds. The works present scenes recorded across different regions of Mexico: moving objects, landscapes, people, and everyday gestures that, while seemingly ordinary, construct a poetic cartography of the country.

The number 47 functions as a temporal structure: each fragment constitutes an indivisible unit of time. As the videos loop and are distributed across two to seven screens, they generate offsets and new combinations that prevent stable synchronisation. The work does not propose a linear narrative, but rather a temporal field in constant reorganisation.

The selection establishes a dialogue between Mexico City and different states across the country, exploring tensions and resonances between center and periphery in order to reveal the essence that connects us.
