Y estaba yo viendo... contemplates the creation of impossible worlds, using sound as a fundamental element. Rain inside the umbrella.

Plasticity of Sound

Perception is unique.

Y estaba yo viendo... is part of the project Theory of Predisposition in Art. Our mood and emotions affect the way we perceive. Here I work with a duality in perception, the contradictory idea of accompanying or dislocating the visitor from their reality triggered by the sound of rain.

Eight suspended umbrellas, each one with the sound of a type of rain inside. Visitors may walk through the whole space, standing at any point to listen. While moving, the listener can hear a gradual transformation of rain. This way of perceiving sound is explored in the project
